It often happens that conflicts in search of "one’s own roots”, "origins”, "history”, "identity, and "country” turn into wars. These ware always are hidden behind ideas, doctrines, ideologies, religions and each of them wave its own flag. Perhaps it is high time that we abandoned this rhetoric and made fun of ourselves by playing with the flags. Why not? The only flag which recognizes no borders and produces human life is the love flag. What can be the flag of love? The underpants?

Film synopsis:
Kitka was just a little girl when she lost her mother. Now, in her late teens, she makes her first life choices. Her grandfather, her father and even her late mother are determined to help the adolescent girl. However, suffering from the family trauma and in constant conflict with each other, they themselves seem to need help. They don’t make it any easier for Kitka so the girl decides to take matters into her own hands. She embarks on a series of funny adventures, meets a number of strange characters and experiences first romantic entanglements. Eventually, everything ends wonderfully well, and the literal sense of the word ‘wonder’ is not to be forgotten in this context.

Film synopsis:
Maybe it’s enough to meet a trivial funeral procession moving from a
church to a cemetery - to fall in the world of delirium, where time, having lost its linear nature, winds among unpredictably emerging images of nothingness - all sorts of Death’s reflections - of those preceding and forthcoming, of those horrifying and those desired, of those that are abstract and those that are actual...
The Guest - a young psychiatrist - is invited to live with a family, in which the Father is assumed to be insane, judged by his passion for ropes and suffocation. But maybe it’s the other way around: not Father’s but the Guest’s mental health requires a proper medical examination...

Film synopsis:
The myth about Lilith represents eternal drama of the
relations of Man and Mother Nature, insatiable in her desire to give
birth and destroy. This erotic fairy tale – a story of Lilith traveling
through time and space on her "sweet” and damaging mission is based on
ancient Oriental legends, Talmud and the medieval books of Cabala. Film
consists of three dramaturgically connected parts, united by the image
of Lilith. One can expect that this film could attract both wide
audiences (thanks to the ‘love story – fairytale’ premise), as well as
the sophisticated audience expecting from a film an aesthetic and
intellectual challenge.

Film synopsis:
What unfolds against the backdrop of the story of Klara Knabelova and her relationships with three Austro-Hungarian Army officers is a parable of the collapse of the old world of traditional values and the start of the proliferation of new (dis)orders. World War I becomes a trigger for this process of disintegration and an incubator for mysterious, irrational forces. The only person who can emerge from this melting-pot with a clean slate is a strong and charismatic woman who becomes a symbol of composure, as well as the promise of "new tomorrows.”

Producer´s Statement:
"Head – arms – hearT offers a view into the locality of Central
Europe during the peculiar "threshold” period of World War I. It goes back in time not in an attempt to revise history but as a movie that wants to testify about the present. The film takes on a number of themes subliminally. It is therefore more of a parable about the present state of civilization than a trip down memory lane. But it is above all a film about relationships – all other interpretations are just an extension of this intimate story.”

Film synopsis:
Apricot Island is a film about a woman, who raises passion and subsequent rage between two brothers. People in the neighborhood have no idea what is going on between them. The only witness to their undistinguished, hidden and suddenly awakened love, which drives them hopelessly to a tragic end, is the beautiful nature surrounding the Danubian backwaters. Dawns and sunsets, hot summer, ripe apricots, the wide and lazily flowing Danube and love in all of its tragic and comical situations, are joined into a whole, which altogether makes a creatively and consensually suggestive film..

Producer´s Statement:
The only way how to make such a personal film as Eighty Letters for me was to become a producer myself although I have never wished to be one. This film got no "outside" support whatsoever and was made with my own money. It was done with modesty and sincere devotion and desire to tell a very personal story in a daring way.
I believe Eighty Letters will stand out of the common czech film production because of its individuality. I wanted to capture a piece of quietude in the contemporary cult of ugliness and bluster. I don´t want to shock in order to get attention.I make images of vulnerable people.I try to capture their grief which is white, silent and still. And endless.

Film synopsis:
A small town seems not to be a place to live for a young, ambitious man. Also a relationship with beloved woman becomes moreover with time an anchor running aground of a fellow stereotype. An escape from this hell of boredom and an empty ritual starts to be the goal of existence.
A student, standing at a break of new life takes advantage of a chance that apparently the blind lot gives him to and in effect reaches a perfect, out-of-a-dream place. The dreams are fulfilled, but with this the spectacle of everydayness shows its true nature. The paradise changes into prison, in which reality melts with horror.

Aleksandra Biernacka / Producer of the film
Film synopsis:
The film takes place in Zagreb, Croatia ten years into the future and follows the life of a successful TV producer of the reality show ‘’Housed’’, forty year old Filip Dogan (Sven Medvešek).
The twist of the film is that during the first weeks of the show a global war starts turning Europe into a battlefield.
As the war continues the show becomes more and more popular simply because of the fact that it’s the only show on TV that is optimistic, which reminds the audience how good life was before the beginning of the war, it shows a time that is lost forever. The reason why the show is so upbeat is the fact that the competitors don’t know there’s a war going on.

(This is the film’s working title and may change)Film synopsis:
Adalbert’s Dream is a black comedy based on a real story happened in a Romanian communist factory in the 80’s. A work accident is re‐enacted, but the re‐enacting becomes a new accident: the worker playing the victim gets his hand cut as well.
It’s the 8th of May 1986 ‐ the anniversary day for the Romanian Communist Party. A day celebrated with pomp, hypocrisy and fear in all the Romanian factories of those times. Besides this political connotation, the day is only two weeks away from the Chernobyl explosion. But most important for Romanians, this is the day when the football team Steaua Bucharest has won the Champions League (for the first and last time in the Romanian football history)!

Producer´s Statement:
This film is an opportunity to resort to dark humor in order to question human weakness, which comes easier to the fore during totalitarian regimes. But despite appearances, Adalbert’s Dream is not a political film. Politics is the mere background that helps the film focus on its main "subject”: humanity, which emerges from forceful dialogues and events of an unpredictable cynicism.
The project is universal, since it is a reminder for former Communist countries as well as a gateway for Western countries into a different and absurd world. It gives a sweet sour taste of a dark period, and it communicates strong ideas, while entertaining the audience.
