Synopsis

JM, a lonely Japanese man, surrounds himself with a collection of rare snakes in his Tokyo apartment. One day he sees his dream car for sale on the Internet, a 1967 Citroen DS. JM travels to Australia to buy it. When he arrives at the owner’s house, JM finds the man dead. A blind girl, BG, tells him that the car did not really belong to the dead man, but that she can take him to the real owner. The solitary JM and the blind BG set off on a strange journey which takes them deep into the unknown and harsh Australian bush and also into their own past. This road-movie, filled with images of deserted mining villages and the barren desert landscapes of Australia, speaks about the chilling beauty and loneliness of modern life.
