Synopsis
This poetic documentary, whose one piece of musical accompaniment is Debussy’s Clair de Lune for piano, focuses on the recent past and present of a lonely man. The film concerns the universal theme of losing of a loved one and coping with the unavoidable fear.
About the director
Noriko Takabishi (Osaka) left Japan for the United States to study design and advertising. At New York University he studied production and editing, and his graduation film, The Bridge Man (2000), was shot on 16 mm. The film treats not only the life of one specific individual but also the meeting of two worlds and their different cultures.
