Synopsis
The night is filled with the sound of frogs croaking and an old woman is laying out her son. She cuts his nails and for the last time touches the face which used to smile at her. But why can’t ‘for the last time’ mean ‘forever’? All it takes is to stop time.
About the director
Kim Dae Hyun (b. 1969) studied philosophy at university in Sungkyunkwan. An Eternity is his debut and was screened in the short film competition at Cannes in 1998. It was also shown at festivals in Palm Springs, Melbourne and Tampere.
