Synopsis
Lying on her deathbed, Gildong’s sister longs for nothing more than death’s release. In spite of this, her brother tries to get more money for the morphine which can relieve her pain. He is like a clown balancing on a tightrope above a street at night trying to steer destiny towards life. Will he win his wager and come in time?
About the director
Yeum Jeong Seok (b. 1967, Seoul) graduated from the theatre and film department at Kyung Sung University. He made his first short film, After Thrill’s Gone, in 1992 and soon after debuted in feature films with Bad Times (1994). Another short film, On Earth as in Heaven, was screened at festivals in Buenos Aires and Pusan.
