Synopsis
The young man Mati spends a weekend with his wife Helina and her lover Edouard. A laconic portrait of love the Estonian way in the style of Aki Kaurismäki or Jim Jarmusch.
About the director
Veiko Ounpuu (b. 1972) is an unsuccessful ex-salesman, backpacker, driver, a reluctant employee of sundry advertising agencies and a bankrupt film producer. After studying at the Estonian Academy of Arts he became a painter. He also writes for an Estonian cultural weekly and is involved in film. He wrote and directed his short film debut Empty in 2006. He lives in Tallinn.
