Synopsis

Luke Fowler teamed up with Kosten Koper to film a profile of Xentos Jones, one of the founding members of the obscure post-punk band The Homosexuals, and man of many identities. Jones also created his own solo project, The Way Out, a lo-fi concept album born of a parallel universe, where pop music is written by Modernist serial composers. The film combines new interviews, scripted scenes, found and filmed footage with amateur films made by Xentos himself.

About the director

When working on his experimental films, Luke Fowler has teamed up on several occasions with Scottish filmmaker Kosten Koper (b. 1970), who lives in Belgium. Koper is a fine artist, filmmaker, musician, electronic music publisher, curator and events organiser. He was a member of the group Diskono, which created situations and environments for the creative perception of music. He made the two-part film Sad In Country (2007–2008) with Catherine Vertige.
