Synopsis
Nikolai lives in a cottage on the bank of the river Angara and earns a living fishing and hunting. Ludmila lives alone on the very edge of the Taiga; she writes poetry and paints pictures. They have never met, but they have much in common. Both have learned to survive in the middle of the vast Siberian plain. Solitude is their choice and their calling. To encounter them is to conjure up the "land of silence” present deep within all of us.
