Margaret Corkery
British director. She studied at university in Edinburgh and London. Her short films have won numerous awards at international film festivals – the film Killing the Afternoon was selected for the competition at the Berlin IFF in 2005. She gave her debut with the film Eamon, which had its international premiere at KVIFF 2009 and won the festival’s Independent Camera award. It was also screened at thirty festivals and distributed in several countries. She works for television as well and is currently putting together a children’s fantasy film.
Tine Klint
Director of LevelK, a film sales and distribution company. She previously worked for Nordisk Film and TrustNordisk. In 2009 she established LevelK, which endeavours to secure the optimum conditions for the distribution of selected films, not just features, but also documentaries and television projects. “I would like to focus on films by emerging filmmakers who could go on to attain worldwide success,” she stated at the time she launched the company.
Michael Málek
Programmer for Czech Television’s program acquisitions department. He graduated in business from the Prague School of Economics, and from 1976 to 1990 he worked for Czechoslovak Filmexport. At the beginning of the 1990s he became Prague correspondent for Variety magazine, then he worked in various top positions in the film distribution companies Interama, Guild, and Falcon. In addition to his job at Czech Television, he is also involved in film history and journalism, and lectures at events put on by the Association of Czech Film Clubs and other organizations.
