KVIFF cooperates with charity organizations

As is the case every year, this year’s 48th Karlovy Vary IFF provides an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to present their projects during the festival. The official nonprofit organization for 2013 is the Foundation DebRA.

Foundation DebRA

DebRA CR became the official non-profit partner of the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF. Since 2004, the foundation has been supporting sufferers of the rare epidermolysis bullosa (EB), an inherited disease that causes blistering of the skin. The sufferers are also known as “butterfly babies.” DebRA ČR has prepared a number of events for the festival ranging from an interactive café, where every coffee sold will benefit EB patients, to a Liběna Rochova fashion show, which will take place on Sadova Colonnade on July 2, 2013 and a benefit concert featuring some of the best Czech musicians at Postovni Dvur, also on July 2, 2013. 

Karlovy Vary IFF cooperates with charity organizations

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, one of the most closely-followed cultural events in the Czech Republic, provides long-term support for and cooperates with organizations active in charity activities.

KVIFF offers organizations an opportunity to share the festival’s media attraction. Foundations and charities will be able to address a large number of visitors at the festival while presenting their publicly beneficial programs and projects.

Each year, an organizational statute is awarded to one organization, e.g. “Foundation of the 48th KVIFF“.

The KVIFF supports the selected organization by providing a location for presenting, advertising and fund raising during the festival. At the festival, the selected organization will have an opportunity to present its focus and projects, to organize fundraisers for festival visitors, and to sell goods for the benefit of charity projects, etc.

The selected organization should primarily cooperate with KVIFF by organizing a public cultural event for festival visitors, that may become one of the highlights of the accompanying festival events (e.g. a concert, etc.)

KVIFF representatives must be consulted with before approving any of the organization’s activities within the KV IFF or any sponsors of the events.
