Magic Mirrors
Magic Mirrors – festival restaurant for the 46th Karlovy Vary IFF.
The Magic Mirrors programme will comprise live performances reflecting the atmosphere of the “velvet” hall – you can look forward to blues, swing, chanson, and also acoustic rock’n’roll. The opening and closing events will shake to the sharper rhythms of crossover and pop punk. Also look out for concerts given by the bands Sunshine and Nightwork. Restaurateur Perfect Catering will be on hand to cater to the needs of foodies and drinkies.

ČEZ Foundation - Orange Bicycle
Pedal for a good cause! Pedal for one minute on a stationary bike and help the people who need it most. The energy you generate will be converted into funds which the ČEZ Foundation will donate to selected charities. July 2–9, 10am–7pm.

Radio 1 Lounge
A place to relax in the Thermal hotel every day from 10am to 10pm. Settle into one of our fatboys, make use of the Internet, play some board games and listen to chill-out music from Radio 1.

Festival bike hire from Specialized
Make use of the festival’s bike hire service provided by Specialized, which we’ve organised in association with Ski and Bike Centre Radotín, and make moving about Karlovy Vary a pleasant experience throughout the film festival. Specialized bikes are the official bicycles of this year’s festival, available for hire throughout the festival at these three locations: the Pupp hotel, the festival campsite and the Thermal hotel. You can hire and return the bikes at all these docking stations. You will also be supplied with a cycle helmet and bike lock with each bike. The Specialized bike hire service is available daily from 8am to 11pm; on the last day of the festival from 8am to 8pm. All holders of Festival Pass and accredited guests may hire Specialized bikes upon submission of their valid ID. Bikes may be hired for up to 4 hours at a time. The first hour is free; a fee of 100 CZK will be charged for every further hour (even if incomplete). For more information, please speak to our staff at the festival’s individual bike hire docking stations.

Sony tent
Come and visit the Sony tent, open every day throughout the festival, from 10am to 9pm. Try out Sony’s hot new 3D range – cameras, video cameras and 3D TVs.
From 4-9 July, at 2pm, debates with Peter Konečný from kinema.sk on the themes: Film mistakes – when they get it wrong in Hollywood; The world’s best video clips; Amazing title sequences – how to grab the viewer’s attention; and Outstanding film and TV commercials. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get yourself photographed with legendary film stars; we’ll print out the photo for you to take home as a souvenir of this year’s festival. Get online in Sony’s internet cafe, where you’ll also have the chance to try out the new 3D Sony VAIO notebook, and our PlayStation 3 will be available for those who like to play. Aeroport
Aeroport is indispensable to visitors to the Karlvoy Vary IFF. It’s a multi-purpose venue open all day. From 10am it’s a cafe, bar and film workshop for children (from 10am to 5pm); from 10pm it’s a club with DJs, live acts and concerts. Free Wi-Fi connection throughout the premises. Aeroport’s four bars offer a wide range of entertainment.

The Golden Sixties + 25 from the 60s
The IFF’s accompanying programme will include the screening of the 2-part feature documentary 25 from the Sixties, plus 26 hour-long film portraits of important Czech filmmakers from the TV series “The Golden Sixties”, complemented with a unique collection of original film posters from the era. The event runs 1–9 July, from 10am to 7pm, and is located on the gallery’s 1st floor. Gala launch of the DVD collection + exhibition opening in the presence of the filmmakers and artists featured in the films on 4 July at 10am.

Jameson Festival Lounge
The Jameson Festival Lounge is the main tent for lovers of film, Jameson Irish whiskey, great music and fun! Entry to the Jameson Festival Lounge is free-of-charge and, at the longest Jameson bar in the Czech Republic, you can choose a drink or cocktail from the special festival drinks menu devised by Jameson Cocktail Coolers, daily from 10am to 3am. The best DJs from Radio 1 and elsewhere will be on hand to enhance the festival atmosphere.

Zombie Bar – Checkpoint
Check out the Checkpoint zone for great music – a party island for lovers of film and night life. And it’s no coincidence that the young Zombie Bar has found its niche here, in the only Karlovy Vary club dedicated to pure, electronic music. Its justified aim is to become a true “checkpoint”, the very place for festival guests looking for a place to chill out and party into the night. After a day of films, no-one’s going to go back to their hotel or accommodation and watch TV, are they?

Help the Children
Help the Children is a long-term charity project linked to a nationwide public collection organised jointly by Czech Television (ČT) and the Civil Society Development Foundation (NROS): over 166 million CZK has been raised over the last 13 years since the event was launched. The funds are provided to give direct and effective help to endangered and disadvantaged children up to the age of 18 all over the Czech Republic. 
The CR’s best known charity collection has now teamed up with the most important film festival in the Czech Republic. The collection will be presented throughout the festival in front of the Thermal hotel with a Help the Children sales and information stand open daily from 10am to 6pm. You can come and find out about the collection and ask us about anything concerning the project that interests you. You may also purchase promotional items bearing the collection’s logo – the yellow Chicken, e.g. T-shirts, peaked caps, colouring books etc. Proceeds from the sales will go towards the collection. The simplest way to make your contribution to the collection is to send a donation text message as DMS KURE on 87 777.

Children’s Day Care Centres
Opening times: 1 July from 12pm to 8pm, 2–9 July from 8.45am to 8pm, capacity: Dětský koutek (Kids' Corner) 8 children; Dětské centrum (Children’s Centre) 15 children, maximum length of stay: 3 hours, price: 50 CZK for the first hour, for each further hour 25 CZK. The day care centre located inside (Dětský koutek) is open to children aged 18 months to c. 5 yrs; the children's centre located outside (Dětské centrum, next to the Thermal hotel) is open to children aged c. 4–12 yrs. The children will be insured during their stay at both day care centres. Only drinks will be provided at these centres (if children are to be looked after for a longer period, parents must provide their own refreshments). The partners of Dětský koutek and Dětské centrum are EUROVIA CS, a. s., TOUAX s.r.o., and the Thermal hotel. The centres are run by Mateřské centrum Karlovy Vary, o. s.
