Tuesday 4 July , 4–6pm / Industry Pool, Hotel Thermal
It is a proven fact that a well-treated script has a far higher chance of becoming a successful film. Join us for a panel which will explain why script doctoring has become essential in today’s film development, and what are its benefits, opportunities, processes and outcomes. MIDPOINT’s instructor Naomi Foner will give a keynote lecture, followed by a presentation of the planned the Czech Film Fund’s Script Incubator and successful showcases of Torino Film Lab’s programme. Together, we will look at the role of teachers, script-development platforms, festivals and scriptwriters themselves. Join us if you are still unsure whether script development is worth your time, money and effort. If you are a believer, come and consider your options.
