Synopsis

Ede and Zaki, two unsuccessful rock musicians, come out on top of a job competition: their task is to write a musical for the anniversary of an Institute for the Blind. Within two days they’ve put something together, but are unpleasantly surprised to realise that their contract says they must also give parts to the blind kids. Zaki quits straightaway, but Ede gives it a couple of unsuccessful attempts. His experience directing is a disaster, even though all the girls in the ‘company’ fall in love with him. He asks Imola to help him; she’s a ballet dancer with a six-year-old son at the institute. From the very beginning Imola has felt awkward around the blind, and can’t even get used to her own son’s affliction. But she needs the money. Ede disappears and leaves her alone with the kids. Imola starts out unenthusiastically but while rehearsing with them she gradually overcomes her aversion to their, and her son’s, handicap. This film was made for the blind and a special commentary accompanies the film.
