Synopsis

Imagine a portrait of Austria created by Jan Švankmajer and David Lynch, inspired by The Cabinet of Dr Caligari: this will give you an idea of Bady Minck’s experimental film In v cthe Beginning Was the Eye. Austria seen through the images depicted on old postcards of the landscapes around Erzberg and Salzburg becomes something akin to both dream and nightmare.
