Synopsis

An 84-year-old grandma is invited to the wedding of a distant niece taking place in her remote birthplace on the border with Brazil. She invites her whole family to accompany her. In a ’56 Chevy Viking transformed into a caravan, they set off on a journey full of unexpected catastrophes... Between the starting point Buenos Aires and the destination Misiones, all the anger, sorrow, attraction and warmth between four generations come to surface. Rolling Family is a warm, vivacious film about family relationships, love, personal choices and memories. Based on anecdotes from the director’s family and circle of friends, the film balances between being a droll road-movie and a colourful family drama with plenty of humour and latent melancholy.
