Synopsis
The physical body as the fabric and projection screen for inner experiences, recollections and decisions – this is the leitmotif of the actions and films of Lucie Marešová. Several contrasting routes are followed to generate a process of both external and internal cleansing in this somehow profoundly feminine film. The film is presented as part of the series Loyal Guard: New Czech Videoart.
About the director
Lucie Marešová (b. 1981) graduated from the Body Design Studio in Brno. She focuses on performances and videos. Works include: the performance The Ballet Dancer (Baletka, 2005, intervention at the National Theatre, Prague), Fragmented Stories from My Home Town (Fragmentované příběhy z rodného města, (2006).
