About the film

Two elderly ladies live next door to each other; one rainy night they take in a poor stray cat and start giving it some serious pampering. However, the spoiled animal abuses the neighbours’ affection to such an extent that the mounting jealousy between them develops into all-out war... A cartoon which won several festival awards (Avanca: Best Animation, Dervio: Best Direction).

About the director

Hans Richter (b. 1955, Amsterdam) studied graphic and audiovisual design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. As an animator he was involved in the animated film Famous Fred (1996), which was nominated for an Oscar, and he also worked on various scientific TV programmes and shows for children.
