Planning to attend the 47th Karlovy Vary IFF 2012?

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is the most significant annual film event in Central and Eastern Europe, presenting more than 180 new films from all over the world. The concept of the festival program stems from the Czech Republic’s advantageous geopolitical location in the center of Europe. Its goal is to contribute to the development and promotion of quality films.

To ensure that attending film industry representatives have an effective and enjoyable stay at the Karlovy Vary IFF, the Film Industry Office offers to accredited buyers, distributors, producers, film festivals' and film institutions' representatives, investors, sales agents, and representatives of service companies a wide range of customized services, privileged access to various festival venues, self-promotion possibilities, and special industry events (most of them focusing on the new production in Central and Eastern Europe - Works in Progress).

Your own personal box, access to computers, WiFi zone, meeting room, video facilities, published materials, up-to-date information about festival films and events, and assistance

Official festival screenings

Four free tickets to four regular screenings daily (the online program will be available on the website by mid June together with a list of films looking for international sales

Press & Industry screenings

All films from the Official Selection - Competition, East of the West - Films in Competition, Forum of Independents and other selected films from the official program also have a Press & Industry screening (in the Congress Hall, Cinema A and Cinema C - hotel Thermal). You will find the program in your festival bag and on the website.

Film Industry Events

Various Industry events reserved for accredited film professionals are held during the festival. The list will be available at the website by end of the May. 

Works in Progress 2012

New films from Central and Eastern Europe which are in post-production or just before the official release are presented in Karlovy Vary every year (more information)

Sales Open

The list of films which are seeking international sales will be available on the website after the complete program is announced in mid-June.

Video room

Open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. All films in the festival program can be watched in the Video room. The Works in Progress can be watched in the Industry Office.

Meeting Point

An ideal place for your meetings at the festival center, open daily 10:30 AM - 10:30 PM

Attendance monitoring of your film

We monitor the attendance of your film including a list of industry representatives and journalists who have seen your film at our theaters (official screenings, Press & Industry Screenings) or in the Video room. We can provide you with the list during or after festival.

Film Industry Guide

The Film Industry Guide is a reference publication for film industry representatives. It includes a list of attending industry companies, their representatives, and other relevant information (contacts, photos, activities, etc.). The online version of the guide will be made available on our website by mid June.

Official festival publications

Upon your arrival, you will receive the festival catalogue, program brochure, Press & Industry Screenings brochure, Film Industry Guide, Who’s Where brochure, Works in Progress brochure (in the Film Industry Office), an up-to-date program of screenings, and other materials. An online version of these materials will be released on our website in mid June.

Advertising and self-promotion

Increase the visibility of your film or company at the festival by using a wide range of self-promotion and advertising possibilities: paid advertising, distribution of materials, Industry Meetings, company party.

Industry Accreditation

If you are interested in taking advantage of Film Industry Office services at the 47th Karlovy Vary IFF 2012, please apply for Industry accreditation from April 16 till June 6, 2012. June 6, 2012 is the deadline for sending Film Industry Guide information and Industry accreditation. June 7, 2012 is the deadline for the ad orders.
