Works in Progress 2011
Every year the producers present the newest feature production from Central and Eastern Europe. A one-day presentation designed for international distributors, sales agents, and festival programmers offers a selection of quality feature films, recently completed or in post-production, whose premieres are expected after July 2011. Producers present their films in eight-minute pitch including the trailer or film clips.
The panel will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011. If you are interested in presenting your new film in 8th Works in Progress, please read the text below. If you plan to attend the Works in Progress, reserve the dates: Sunday July 3 - Wednesday July 6, 2011.
Presenting your film at the Works in Progress
Producers, film directors or local distributors must register their films for the Works in Progress by June 1, 2011. As the number of the projects to be presented is limited, contact us as soon as possible. The decision of accepting your film will be made by the selection committee of the Karlovy Vary IFF. If you are interesting in presenting your film at the panel, please send us the film clips and further material. If your film is selected, you will receive detailed practical information about your stay at the festival and your presentation.
The film must meet following criteria:
• only films in post-production or films released after the Karlovy Vary IFF will be presented
• the film must not have an international sales agent
• the producer has 8 minutes to present his film, including the film clips
• the film clips must be up to 5 minutes long on DVD with English subtitles (the film clips should consist of a scene or two to ilustrate the essence of the film)
