Press Accreditation
Press Accreditation gives access to:
- Services for journalists including the press center, video room, and festival film equipment
- 4 free tickets for 4 different screenings each day
- Special ticket offices
- Free entrance to press conferences and Press & Industry screenings and all festival Press venues
Application for obtaining Press Accreditation:
- The applications for the Press Accreditation will be accepted from April 12 till June 11, 2010. After this deadline only exceptional requests will be taken in consideration
- Press Accreditation is reserved to press only (writing journalists, photographers, TV and radio editors, TV and radio crews, on-line journalists, foreign correspondents, press agency correspondents)
- You can download the accreditation form from April 12 or at your request (contact press@kviff.com) we can send it to you by e-mail
- In the interest of guaranteeing the best conditions possible for journalists during the festival, the number of press accreditations is limited - each periodical or program may have one official representative, with allowances made for prominent media companies
- Designate precisely your intended length of stay on the application and the name of the hotel
Conditions for obtaining Press Accreditation:

Writing journalists (newspapers, magazines)
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with a brief description of your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A copy of your published articles about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited at the festival as a journalist
- A copy of at least three articles you have recently published on the film industry, culture, or society, along with a current issue (not a copy) of a periodical featuring your work if you were not accredited as a journalist for the given media firm last year at the KV IFF
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

TV journalists
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the head of the program and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with a brief description of the program and TV station, and your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A DVD featuring your broadcast(s) about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited as a writer/editor
- A DVD featuring extracts of your recent work if you were not accredited at last year´s KV IFF for the given program
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

TV crew
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation for all crew members, signed by the head of the program and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with a list of the names and exact job descriptions of each crew member
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo of each person (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

Radio journalists
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with a brief description of the radio station and your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A tape featuring your broadcast(s) about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited as a writer/editor
- A tape featuring extracts of your recent work if you were not accredited at last year´s KV IFF for the given radio station
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

Radio crew
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation for the crewmember, signed by editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with exact job description
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

On-line journalists
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with a brief description of your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A copy of your published articles about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited at the festival as a on-line journalist
- A copy of at least three articles you have recently published on the film industry, culture, or society, along with the exact links to the relevant website if you were not accredited as a on-line journalist for the given media firm last year at the KV IFF
- Current number of hits for your www pages according to the official counter
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

Photographers
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given media firm, along with a brief description of your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A copy of your published photos about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited at the festival as a photographer
- A copy of your photos you have recently published on the film industry, culture, or society, along with a current issue (not a copy) of a periodical featuring your work if you were not accredited as a photographer for the given media firm last year at the KV IFF
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

Press Agencies - correspondents and photographers
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given press agency, along with a brief description of your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A copy of your published articles, photos, about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited at the festival as a journalist, photographer
- A copy of at least three articles, photos, you have recently published on the film industry, culture, or society, along with a current issue (not a copy) of a periodical featuring your work if you were not accredited as a journalist, photographer, for the given media firm last year at the KV IFF
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)

Freelance (journalists and photographers)
- A completed press application form
- An official request for press accreditation signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the main media firm, along with a brief description of your intended work at the Karlovy Vary IFF
- A copy of your published articles, photos, about last year´s KV IFF if you were accredited at the festival as a journalist
- A copy of at least three articles, photos, you have recently published on the film industry, culture, or society, along with a current issue (not a copy) of a periodical featuring your work if you were not accredited as a journalist, photographer, for the given media firm last year at the KV IFF
- Payment of the accreditation fee
- One photo (only in case you have not been accredited since 2003)
Accreditation fee
- The fee for Press Accreditation is 900 CZK
- The Press Accreditation fee is to be paid by each participant when picking up his or her accreditation in Karlovy Vary (from July 2, 2010).
Note: If you wish to obtain an invoice for your payment, please send us your invoice details till June 11, 2010. Issuance for the invoice won’t be possible after the end of the festival.
Confirmation of obtaining Press Accreditation:
- You may pick up your accreditation in the accreditation centre (located in Thermal hotel in Karlovy Vary) from July 2, 2010
- By picking up the accreditation you will be ask to pay the accreditation fee
- Festival has the right to refuse any application, which does not fulfill the conditions - in case of non-acceptance of your accreditation application we will inform you as soon as possible
- The accreditation card is non transferable
- Lost accreditation can be replaced for a fee of 200 CZK
Important! - While you plan to go to Karlovy Vary, please check in advance if your country has Visa waiver regime with Czech Republic (see http://www.mzv.cz/).
"Who´s where"
If you want us to put your name to the festival information bulletin "Who´s where", please let us know the name of your hotel and the dates of your stay in Karlovy Vary.
Accommodation
In view of the large numbers of visitors to the festival, please be sure to book your accommodation as soon as possible.
