Film Screenings

When arriving for a film screening, please follow the instructions of the hall supervisor and festival staff
You may only arrive for screenings with a valid ticket. Those with accreditation and Festival Pass must have their accreditation or Festival Pass with them, which must be shown on arrival
Those with tickets must take up their places not later than five minutes before the start of the screening; after this time his or her reservation will no longer be valid
If the hall is not fully occupied before the start of screenings, the supervisor will allow entry to a certain number of persons with accreditation or the Festival Pass, at his discretion
Those with accreditation or Festival Pass who do not have a valid ticket for a given screening must form a line at the entrance to the screening hall so as not to block entry for viewers with valid tickets
Evening performances in the hotel Thermal’s Great Hall are special events and require appropriate evening wear

Films screened at the festival have English and Czech subtitles
If, in exceptional circumstances, this is not the case, these films are marked in the Program Booklet and on the Festival poster. Information about the exact language version of the given film will be provided at the entrance to the screening hall, at box offices and info boards
The program for the gala opening and closing of the festival is presented in Czech only and translated simultaneously via headphones

Visitors will be notified of changes to the program, additional screenings and cancellations via Festival television, in the festival Daily, at box offices and on information boards (by the main box office and at the press centre)
In the event of a change to the program or cancellation, visitors will be reimbursed for their tickets (at the main box offices in the Thermal hotel)

A number of films will be screened in the presence of a delegation of filmmakers and actors
The delegation will present film premieres, repeat screenings are frequently scheduled
Screenings are usually followed by a Q & A (questions and answers)
Festival Pass holders may attend press conferences (at the entrance to the Thermal hotel reception) if the hall is not fully occupied by accredited journalists. The press conference schedule is published on the information boards and at the entrance to the press conference hall

You may borrow headphones only for films which do not have English and Czech subtitles; headphones are available at the entrance to the given screening hall
Headphones may be borrowed upon submission of your accreditation. Those without accreditation submit their valid ticket for the given performances; headphones will be lent out in exchange for a receipt

Entrance to Press & Industry screenings is only possible with Press accreditation and Industry accreditation
The program for Press & Industry screenings will be available in the Film Industry office, the Press Centre and on our website
There will be a translation into Czech in the case of Press & Industry screenings held in Hall A this year
Access to any closed screenings is only possible with a valid ticket and an invitation
Access to the gala opening and closing of the festival in the Thermal hotel’s Great Hall is only granted to guests with an invitation and valid ticket
