On Saturday evening the gala premiere of
Miloš Forman’s
A Walk Worthwhile will take place in Karlovy Vary. Miloš Forman and actors from the movie will walk the red carpet into the Grand Hall at Hotel Thermal at 5 PM.
The main festival competition will also get under way on Saturday – Denmark’s
Applause will screen at 8 PM in the Grand Hall at Hotel Thermal.
On Saturday at 10 PM the Municipal Theater will present the international premiere of the Russian musical
Hipsters (
Stilyagi). The film relates the story of a young Komsomol member named Mels who abandons his worldview and becomes a Moscow hooligan. A delegation will accompany the premiere of this Russian box office hit – director
Valery Todorovsky and his producer.
The Industry Office will organize a discussion on Saturday, open to the public, on the topic Cooperating with Hollywood: the Internationalization of the Film Industry. It will take place at 2 PM in the Chopin Lounge of Grandhotel Pupp. The discussion will focus on the possibilities of cooperation between Hollywood and other countries’ film industries, with an eye to trends that might influence such international relationships.
On Saturday inside Cinema Čas (T. G. Masaryka Street 3) the Reflex Point café will open its doors. Every day from four o’clock you will be able to see how editors and reporters of

As part of the festival, the ČEZ Energy Fest will start rocking at 3 PM on Saturday at Poštovní dvůr; the multi-concert will last till the wee hours. Musical artists include Nightwork, Aneta Langerová, and Support Lesbiens.
