Two 45th KVIFF Competition Films win Awards in Pula

Just Between Us (Neka ostane medju nama), whose director, Rajko Grlić, received the Best Director Award at the 45th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, won the 57th Pula Film Festival in Croatia, which ended on June 24, 2010. The film won the Grand Golden Arena for best film, Golden Arena for best director and five other Arenas.
This year’s National Competition in Pula included seven Croatian films and three films in the minority Croatian co-production section. One of the films, The Abandoned (Ostavljeni) directed by Adis Bakrač, had the world premiere at the 45th KVIFF in the East of the West - Films in Competition. The filmmakers left Pula with Golden Arena for best actor for the young Tony Grga and the Federation of Film Critics of Europe Award (FEDEORA).
