Woody Allen’s comedy tops off festival´s grand finale
July 9, 2011, 3:00 PM
Woody Allen’s 41st film, Midnight in Paris, will wrap up tonight’s closing ceremony at the 46th Karlovy Vary International Festival. Midnight in Paris, a romantic comedy about an engaged American couple forced to deal with disillusion when life in the French metropolis turns out to be not much different from their own.
The film’s premiere opened this year’s festival in Cannes. Woody Allen’s recent films are studded with stars and his last one, starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams or Marion Cotillard, is no different. American critics found the comedy sufficiently sweet, sentimental and funny to please all Allen’s fans. The film will come to Czech cinemas in September.
