Hollywood star Richard Gere received the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival’s Crystal Globe prize for outstanding artistic contribution to world cinema at the opening of the 50th edition on Friday night. In a red carpet interview shortly before the presentation ceremony, the highly successful actor gave his reaction to receiving the award and discussed two of his pictures, festival curtain raiser Time Out of Mind and the 1990 international smash Pretty Woman.
