“Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul” – the motto used by the filmmakers to describe the particular passion shared by a group of experienced bike mechanics in a movie shot on super 16mm and executive produced by Orlando Bloom. The picture’s pleasant mood is accompanied by perfectly fitting music from one of the director’s own workshop.
Synopsis
“Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul” – the motto used by the filmmakers to describe the particular passion shared by a group of experienced bike mechanics in a film executive produced by Orlando Bloom. The main characters of this 16mm film are people for whom the motorcycle is more than a hobby or adrenaline rush, it’s a way of life. Bike building represents a chance for them to leave their personal imprint on every machine they create – whether Shinya Kimura, the legendary Zero specialist from Japan; Spaniard David Booras, nicknamed El Solitario; or Californian motorcycle racer-designer Roland Sands. At work and play, in shots of races at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, or during excursions through Scotland, Indonesia, and Spain, their loosely intermingling portraits faithfully capture the uncommonly friendly atmosphere within the biking community. The pleasant mood of this documentary tribute to all motorcycle mechanics is accompanied by perfectly fitting music by one of the directors himself.
