Synopsis

A sad girl is on her way to visit her mother in prison. Her loneliness is immense. Director Stonys is obsessed by the concept of ‘pure cinema.’ A shot of the girls face is enough for him to charge the action with emotion, trembling and expectation. He understands the danger posed to reality by filmed states of mind, feeling and imagination and therefore interrupts these states with scenes of filming preparations shot on video. But the girl’s wanderings into the mythical land of film continue. It is a land in which the mysterious bird tree grows. . . .
