A young trombone player spends an adventurous night trying to open an impossible bottle of wine. A girl who’s fast asleep, a crooked bookcase, and some mold get in the way, turning his world upside down. When the night is over he is forced to perform the ultimate act of courage.

About the director

Marie Dvořáková (b. Czechoslovakia) is a graduate of Prague’s FAMU. She subsequently pursued a master’s in film directing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her narrative and documentary shorts have screened at different film festivals worldwide, receiving various awards. She currently serves as director of programming at the Czech Center in New York.
