Crystal Globe for Oliver Stone
The KVIFF will award the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema to American screenwriter, director and producer, and three-times Oscar winner, Oliver Stone.

The international jury of the 48th KVIFF will be headed by Agnieszka Holland, the award-winning screenwriter and director, three of whose films have been nominated for an Oscar.
KVIFF will honor Oscar-winner, Theodor Pištěk
Painter and costume designer Theodor Pištěk will receive the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF.
Industry activities planned for KVIFF 2013
Various Industry panels and workshops, get-togethers, informal accompanying events, and one-on-one meetings will be organized during the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF 2013.
Legendary film critic Roger Ebert has died
We were very sorry to hear the news that one of the most respected American film critics, Roger Ebert, has died at the age of 70 after an extended illness.
