KVIFF to present a profile of Kurdish cinema
Up to 15 features and shorts, whose directors are connected by their Kurdish origins, will be featured in the section Focus on Kurdish Film.
Crystal Globe for Oliver Stone
The KVIFF will award the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema to American screenwriter, director and producer, and three-times Oscar winner, Oliver Stone.
Agnieszka Holland - president of the jury
The international jury of the 48th KVIFF will be headed by Agnieszka Holland, the award-winning screenwriter and director, three of whose films have been nominated for an Oscar.
KVIFF will honor Oscar-winner, Theodor Pištěk
Painter and costume designer Theodor Pištěk will receive the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at the 48th Karlovy Vary IFF.
