Rory Cochrane: Hostiles goes further than the average Western

US actor Rory Cochrane has come to the 2018 Karlovy Vary IFF to present Hostiles, director Scott Cooper’s fresh and compelling take on the Western genre. In an interview, Cochrane says he was keen with his character to explore the impact of PTSD on soldiers, whatever the historical period. The actor also recalls his early role in Richard Linklater’s classic high school movie Dazed and Confused, which fans frequently reference to this day.
