Zen koans in the form of a gallery video. Five “minute films” by a Czech artist and performer which erase the differences between family life and the artist’s actions, between a routine video recording and a subjective notion of the world.
Synopsis
There is some kind of Zen quality to Martin Zet’s extensive and heterogeneous work. He’s often happy simply observing; other works of his draw minimally on real situations, or they depict two objects coming closer together. These “minute films” erase the differences between family life and the artist’s actions, between a routine video recording and a subjective notion of the world. The films are presented as part of the series Loyal Guard: New Czech Videoart.
