First Aid at the 55th annual KVIFF
What should you do if you need first aid? To ensure a safe run of the 55th annual Karlovy Vary IFF, cooperation with the Karlovy Vary Regional Hospital has been put in place. A new aspect is mobile FASTMEDIC teams of doctors on electric bikes.
A medical service station co-organised with the Karlovy Vary Regional Hospital is in operation on the Karlovy Vary IFF premises. You can find it at the entrance to the congress part of Hotel Thermal by the entrance to the upper parking lot. Medics will be available there every day of the festival from 8:00 am to 1:00 am.
Rapid first aid at prominent sites will be provided by FASTMEDIC mobile medics. Two-member patrols will be moving around the premises on electric mountain bikes and are equipped with a special medical backpack with important items for initial treatment of patients – from sterile gauze and disinfectant to an automatic defibrillator. They are also in contact with emergency medical services via walkie-talkie.
If you or someone around you needs medical assistance during a screening, please seek out a member of the KVIFF staff in a white T-shirt labelled STAFF. You can find them in the immediate vicinity of the screening rooms and other prominent locations. In case of emergency, do not be afraid to ask those around you for help.
If you can't make use of any of the above options, contact emergency medical services on the 155 telephone line.
