Eddie and Maria hope to start a new life and leave all their past memories behind them. But Eddie’s former friend Kullmann appears in the middle of the Scandinavian summer like a spectre from the past. And Kullmann has a plan…

Synopsis

This intimate psychological drama takes us to a solitary wooden house in the middle of the virgin Scandinavian landscape. It belonged to Maria’s grandfather and she used to find refuge there when she was at her lowest ebb. Her meeting with Eddie, who offered her a helping hand, fundamentally changes not only her life, but also his. Both want to start afresh – and when Maria becomes pregnant, it seems that, this time, things will work out. But there’ll always be someone to remind her of the past. One day, at the height of summer, Eddie’s former mate Kullmann appears on the doorstep of this quiet house. Maria is celebrating her 25th birthday and senses that this visitor is not a friend, but a dangerous intruder. And she’s right…
