Synopsis

Geisha, Léonie, and Eugénie arrive at an out-of-the-way house in order to participate in an experimental therapy under the guidance of a German therapist. They have come to the countryside in search of help with sexual addiction, which has repeatedly brought them into extreme situations in life. Can abstinence resolve the traumas hidden behind the façade of wild yet essentially self-destructive sexual fantasies? Denis Côté’s latest film doesn’t try to find a clear answer but seeks to explore the treacherous terrain of female sexuality. Without superficially shocking the viewer or abandoning his provocative sense of humor, the Québécois filmmaker engages in an entertaining and playful exploration of how to depict sexuality on the big screen.
