Festival tips for Friday 11 July

On the penultimate day of the festival, Paolo Genovese, the king of bitter Italian comedies and audience-friendly films, will be welcomed to the Grand Hall at 2 p.m. to present his new film Madly. At 5 p.m., actress Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas and actor Stellan Skarsgård will present Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, which also took home the Grand Prix from Cannes. Stellan Skarsgård will be a KVIFF Talk: Award Chatter Live guest in the Congress Hall at 11 a.m.

As every day, the KVIFF.TV Park programme will host a Meet & Greet with the creators of the films premiered yesterday – Better Go Mad in the Wild (1:30 p.m.), who will also be available at the Czech Television House from 3 p.m., and Cinema Jazireh (4:15 p.m.). The book Listy Cyrila Höschla (Cyril Höschl’s Letters) by the recently deceased psychiatrist, which completes his columns in the Reflex magazine, will be launched at 2:30 p.m. Actress Lenka Krobotová will be a guest on the KVIFF X space at 2:45 p.m.

Talk Show with Libor Bouček will interview actors Oskar Hes and Eliška Křenková in the IQOS Lounge from 5 p.m.

The Mattoni Life Bar music programme will present awards to young artists as part of the Mattoni Music Talent competition at 6 p.m., which will be followed by a performance by Ewa Farna at 9 p.m.
