The Karlovy Vary IFF offers charity organizations and foundations opportunities to take part in an attractive media environment and avail themselves of the large numbers of festival visitors to present their community service programmes and projects on a major scale.
The official non-profit partner of the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97, which has been active for 29 years in the fields of culture, education, healthcare, and social assistance. This year, it commemorates the legacy of Václav Havel.
The VIZE 97 Foundation has entered an extraordinary year dedicated to the 90th birthday of President Václav Havel, which he would have celebrated this year. The anniversary commemorates not only his personality and legacy, but also the values of truth, freedom, and humanism, which the VIZE 97 Foundation has long promoted. President Václav Havel always had a warm relationship with the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and supported it both during his presidency and after leaving active politics.
The VIZE 97 Foundation’s Program at the Festival
Throughout the festival (July 3–11, 2026), the Foundation will be represented at its own booth, where visitors will be able to participate in discussions, meetings, cultural performances, and the interactive installation “Ask Václav Havel.” The festival program will showcase key areas of the VIZE 97 Foundation’s work: the legacy of Václav Havel, support for education and young talent, the cultural and social space Pražská křižovatka, the international VIZE 97 Prize, colorectal cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and assistance for victims of domestic violence.
First-hand brews throughout the year.
