Among the pictures competing in the Forum of Independents at KVIFF this year is the Philippines drama Shadow Behind the Moon. In an interview, director Jun Robles Lana discusses what inspired him to write and film a story about a married couple who befriend a solider during a guerilla war, why he shot the whole thing in one take, and how hard it was to prepare the lead actors.
