Juraj Lehotský’s second feature Nina is in the running for the East of the West prize at the 52nd KVIFF. The intimate Slovak-Czech drama about a 12-year-old girl trying to come to terms with her parents’ divorce has received its world premiere at the festival. In an interview, Lehotský says that though the story is told from the child’s perspective it also holds up a mirror to the adults, and discusses how he draws on his documentary-making experience in his feature films.
First-hand brews throughout the year.
