UK director Orban Wallace presented his feature-length debut Another News Story in the documentary competition at the 52nd Karlovy Vary IFF. The film maps Europe’s migrant crisis but turns the camera on the media, exploring how news organisations report on the fates of refugees and how far they are willing to go for the latest information. In an interview, the London-born director discusses what drew him to the subject of Another News Story and his morally conflicted experiences of filming the arrival of Middle Eastern refugees on Greek beaches.
