The Iranian director Shahram Mokri has come to KVIFF with his post-apocalyptic film Invasion, which playfully combines various genres and narrative styles. In an interview, the director and the film’s art director Amir Esbati explain the thinking behind a dystopian picture combining the detective genre with a love tragedy, and why much of the story is filmed in long, unbroken shots.
