December 30, 2025, 19:57

We wish you all the best for 2026! We look forward to seeing you, either online anytime at KVIFF.TV or in person at one of our events:

January: KVIFF Classics

From January 15 to 17, we will be screening film legends at Prague's Světozor cinema, where they shine brightest – on the big screen. The fourth edition will feature František Vláčil's Valley of the Bees, the German Cannes award-winning Stars, The Sicilian Clan with Alain Delon and Jean Gabin, The Chase with Marlon Brando and Robert Redford, David Lynch's The Straight Story, Andrzej Wajda's Ashes and Diamonds, and Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard.

January to June: Tady Vary

Wednesdays January 7, February 11, March 4, April 1, May 6, and June 10 are reserved for one of the anticipated previews, which will be shown in nearly seventy cinemas throughout the country. In the spring part of the third season, you can look forward to the Cannes winner It Was Just an Accident Ondřej Hudeček's feature debut Poberta, a new interpretation of Frankenstein, The Bride!, a romance with Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, The Drama, or the Icelandic film The Love That Remains.

February and March: Pragueshorts

Fans of short films are cordially invited to the 20th anniversary of the Pragueshorts international festival. From February 25 to March 1, it will be hosted by selected Prague cinemas, and then until March 22, you can find a selection from the program online at KVIFF.TV.

July: 60th KVIFF

On Friday, July 3, celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will kick off and continue until Saturday, July 11.

September to December: Tady Vary

Entering its fourth season, this series of preview screenings with special introductions will once again present one attractive film title each month in cinemas throughout Czechia.

November: Variations

The sixth edition of this unique event organized by KVIFF and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra will once again combine film with music and offer film previews and unique concerts, this year on November 27 and 28.
