Launchpad Announces Applications for Next Cohort

June 10, 2026, 20:45

International film festivals in Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, and Tallinn are launching a new cycle of Launchpad, a joint initiative that strives to support emerging film professionals in building their international careers.

The program welcomes professionals and early-career practitioners working in film sales, marketing, distribution, cinema operations, festival curation, film funding, and film commissions. It is designed to facilitate entry into the international film sector and foster connections between participants and leading industry experts and institutions across Europe.

Applications from the Czech Republic are now open, with a deadline of June 25, 2026.

Five selected participants from Czechia will receive, over the course of twelve months: – Complimentary accreditation to all partner festival editions – Curated networking and industry programming – Individualized professional development tailored to career trajectory and sector focus.

Previous cohorts have included professionals such as Anna Skočdopolová (One World Festival) and Kateřina Malečková (non-profit educational organization Bez předsudků, z.s.), alongside industry practitioners including Beata Mrazíková (Aerofilms), Johana Minářová (CinemArt), and Zuzana Černá (Negativ).

Emerging Czech film professionals interested in joining the third cohort may submit applications HERE by June 25, 2026.

The Launchpad initiative and its year-round activities are generously supported by Nadace PPF.
