George A. Romero will present Tales of Hoffmann

June 22, 2015, 12:00

Well-known American screenwriter, director and producer George A. Romero, creator of cult horror films beginning with the legendary Night of the Living Dead, will be a guest at the 50th KVIFF where he will personally present one of the most admired works of the celebrated writer-director duo Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, Tales of Hoffmann (1951).

The matchless film adaptation of Jacques Offenbach’s opera will be screened in a newly restored version. George A. Romero is one of the greatest admirers of this cinematic masterpiece.
