The opening ceremony of the Karlovy Vary IFF saw the premiere of this year’s festival trailer, filmed for the KVIFF by the recipient of last year’s Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema, Mel Gibson.
The Karlovy Vary IFF presented the pyjamas worn by Mel Gibson in the trailer for its 50th annual festival to its official non-profit partner, the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer. The proceeds from the sale of the pyjamas by auction will go towards the Alliance’s operations.
