Another View 2003 / Wir / Germany 2003

Summer in Berlin brings together ten young people between ages 20 and 25. The world offers many opportunities but each must discover for him or herself the right way to tackle life and love. But feelings of absolute freedom, however, stand in the way of everything that is real.

We We

Synopsis

They are between 20 and 25 years old, have finished school and it seems they’ve got their whole lives ahead of them. The world offers many opportunities but each must discover for him or herself the right way to tackle life and love. Summer in Berlin brings a personal crisis to each of the ten young people concerned in the story. Feelings of freedom can be too intoxicating and lead merely to the urge to devour everything in sight. Vulnerability hides behind a mask of cynicism. Dreams created within the four walls of an apartment do not come true. The young people stand in each other’s way, real emotions are ground down and all of them gradually lose control of their lives.
