About the director


Michael Bates studied film direction, production and animation. He specialises in live-action pixilation animation. His best known films are: Etcetera Paper Jam (1993), Etcetera Insurance (1998), Famed (2001), Humanimation – the Art of Pixilation (doc., 2003). Other films include: Zoom!, Runner, The Translations Project, Bud and Exile.
