Synopsis

This mid-western story follows Mike, an aspiring actor, who sets off for sunny L.A. but makes a fateful quick stop at a convenience store. There he meets Didi, an effusive young drifter who’s never been anywhere nor done anything with anyone. Mike promises everything Didi’s small town never will, so she seizes the opportunity to tag along. After a fairytale night together in the honeymoon suite of a roadside motel, Didi wakes to find herself in an empty bed in a town she does not know. In her efforts to get back on her feet, she soon re-encounters Mike, his ex-girlfriend Ruthie, and a journey filled with twists and turns. A road movie where the characters never quite manage to hit the road.
