Flickering Lights Flickering Lights

Synopsis

Torkild (Soren Pilmark), the leader of a gang of petty thieves in Copenhagen, wants to score one final crime that will allow him a life of leisure abroad. Lady Luck visits him in the form of the Man From Faro (Peter Andersson), a hard criminal who employs him and three cronies to steal 4 million Danish kroner. The quartet decides to make a run for it to Barcelona. On the way, however, their car breaks down and they discover an old abandoned house that was once a restaurant. Torkild gets the idea of rebuilding it.In a series of flashbacks, Jensen (who wrote In China They Eat Dogs and Mifune) depicts the awful families in which the four grew up and their gravitation toward gang life as a substitute. Gunnar Rehlin
