Synopsis

Andrej Osipov (1960) absolvoval Polytechnický institut v Oděse (1982) a poté Vyšší kurzy scenáristiky a režie v Moskvě (1995), kde nyní žije. Natočil řadu dokumentárních filmů: Prikosnovenije (Dotek, 1993), Pojedinok (Souboj, 1994), Sotri slučajnyje čerty (Setři náhodné rysy, 1995). Snímek Golosa (Hlasy, 1997) byl oceněn za režii na MFF v Karlových Varech, kde byl v soutěži uveden i jeho následující film Zaněsennyje vetrom (Větrem zavátí, 1999). Snímek Et cetera... (2001) vzbudil zájem na řadě festivalů. V Praze, na MF dokumentárních filmů Jeden svět (2001), získal cenu za režii.

About the director


Andrei Osipov (b. 1960, Siberia) graduated from the Odessa Polytechnic Institute (1982) and from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors in Moscow (1995) where he now lives. He has shot several documentary films: The Touch (Prikosnovyenie, 1993), Duel (Poyedinok, 1994), Erase the Accidental Features (Sotri sloochaynye cherty, 1994) and Voices (Golosa, 1997), which won Best Director at the Karlovy Vary IFF; his next film, Blown in the Wind (1999) was also presented in the competition there. Et cetera... (2001) has received positive attention at a number of festivals, and won Best Director at Prague’s “One World“ international documentary competition (2001).
