Synopsis

This poetic movie about the victory of love over hellish malevolence takes place in Prague during the distant past. A devilish foreigner who is destroying human lives unexpectedly falls in love with the pure and naive Izabela. The young married woman, in spite of the fact that she’s attracted to the foreigner, decides to remain faithful to her husband Jonas. The cynical manipulation of lives and emotions perpetrated up to now turns tragically against the creator of Evil. The film´s producer is of Czech origin, as are some of the actors.

Victoria Harwood

Victoria Harwood used her experience studying theatre design on the films Remains of the Day and The Madness of King George, among others; she is also a successful director of commercials. Short film filmography (selected): Gun Girls (1998), Preserve (1999), Hypnotherapist (2001), Still Life (2002).
